'All our borders are controlled' and IS group can't return, Iraq's Rashid says
In an interview with FRANCE 24 on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid dismissed fears of an Islamic State (IS) group comeback in Iraq, stating "all our borders are controlled" and "we are observing the movement of any terrorist organisation". "Daesh has been defeated badly", he added, using another term for the IS group. Rashid also said that Iraq no longer needs US forces long-term, calling their presence "by agreement" between both governments.
