Delvis Stifler Louw – the mother-in-law of Andile Mpisane is embroiled in a R40 000 dispute with designer FabroSanz Creations, after she alleges they sold her a “dirty dress”.

The businesswoman – mom of Tamia Mpisane – shared her disdain for her shopping experience at the local designer in a social media rant.

FabroSanz has dressed a number of celebrities, including former Miss South Africa winners like Zozibini Tunzi and Shudu Musida.

ANDILE MPISANE’S MIL IN DRESS DISPUTE

According to her social media posts,  Delvis spent R43 000 on a dress and a hat at Fabrosanz’s Sandton branch last week.

However, she soon discovered that the dress was “dirty” and attempted to return it.

But this was met with contempt from the store, who disputed her request for a cash refund, claims City Press. In fact, FabroSanz owner Sandi Mazibuko told the publication that Andile Mpisane’s mother-in-law was being “dramatic”.

Delvis claimed on Instagram that the Nelson Mandela Square store disputed her version of events.

She vented: “They say it’s dirty. I did not take it out of the shopping bag after buying it. It was taken off their mannequin, so how exactly did I dirty it? I didn’t even try that particular dress on.

“So, how exactly did I dirty the dress that I didn’t even wear? They are trying everything and anything to get out of giving me a cash refund because of ‘their policy’, which is not stated anywhere in their store, is that they give you a voucher [instead of cash].

She continued: “I don’t want no voucher. I want nothing from that store! I left those clothes at your shop on Friday [last week] and still haven’t received a call from them.

“Mind you, they didn’t even give me a receipt. They just asked for my email address, so the only proof of purchase I had was the speed point slip”.

FABROSANZ RESPONDS

Following the social media rant, the store quickly moved to resolve the issue, despite their contradicting refund policy.

Mazibuko told City Press: “She [Delvis Louw] came back to the store after her [Instagram] post on Monday and spoke to our store manager and explained to him [what the problem was] because the lady who assisted her at the time was not there. She said the dress she bought was dirty, which meant that it was dirty when we sold it to her.

According to FabroSanz’s creative director, the dress “did not have makeup marks” on it when Louw purchased it a week ago.

Mazibuko added to the publication: “We did not have any proof that the dress was dirty when she bought it. She wanted a refund, and the dress was returned dirty. So, [our policy says] we don’t refund if the dress is returned in a non-saleable condition. But we were advised to just refund her because the assistant who assisted her was not there and is no longer working for us”.

TAMIA MPISANE’S PARENTS

Like Andile Mpisane, Tamia comes from a family financially invested in a soccer club – Richards Bay FC to be precise.

The mother-of-one was recently appointed by her mother-in-law Shauwn Mkhize aka “MaMkhize” as the Deputy Chairperson of the Royal AM Ladies soccer team.

According to True Love, the 25-year-old is the eldest child and has two younger siblings. Whilst her mother Delvis is often spotted on her social media account, Tamia Mpisane’s father died when she was a young girl.

Like MaMkhize, Tamia Mpisane’s mom is also an astute businesswoman and is the CEO of the financial corporation Riqueza Holdings.
