Arthur Zwane gives Kaizer Chiefs transfer update

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has confirmed the club is done in the transfer market despite rumours of a French striker who’s said to be on trial at Naturena.

By adding the above-mentioned forward, Amakhosi would be easing the burden on Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana who’s the only striker they have who’s expected to solve the goal woes for the team.

However, ‘10111’ has insisted they’re content with the squad they have and are already planning for the January transfer window.

‘WE HAVE ENOUGH’ – ZWANE

“You know when looking for combinations you avoid to panic because the more you bring in players while you still looking for combination you might not even get it right, so we need to get it right with the players that we have right now and see what we have,” Zwane said as per SABC Sport.

“Three months it’s just around the corner in terms of the next window in January that will give us the opportunity again to say where we need to need to beef up.

“For now I think we have enough cover in all positions. I think we have two or three in one position so that will help us going forward until we see the season progresses as to where we can beef up.”

In other news, Zwane has admitted Amakhosi’s technical team has so much work to do in dealing with the shortage of goals.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys have only rattled the back of the net on four occasions in six games of the DStv Premiership so far and one in the MTN8.

For the most part of the season, Zwane has opted for false number nine Khama Billiat as the club had no out and out striker following the exits of Leonardo Castro and Samir Nurkovic.

‘10111’ ON GOALS ISSUES AT CHIEFS

“It is definitely a concern, especially when you are at home,” Zwane told the media following a 0-0 draw with AmaZulu last Saturday.

“We create chances. It would have been another thing to say we don’t create goalscoring opportunities. I think we created enough [against AmaZulu] to get two goals. It was unfortunate that we could not bury them.

“It gives us that task as coaches to focus more on our finishing and also those combinations in the final third entry. When we get the chemistry right, then we will be fine.”
