Australia has picked two 13-man ODI squads for its December 5–23 series against India and New Zealand. Australia hosts India for a three-ODI series in early December, followed by one in New Zealand later that month.

Due to a knee injury, Australia skipper Alyssa Healy will miss the India series but play in New Zealand. Her successor, Tahlia McGrath, will captain.

The first Queensland batter called up for the India series is Georgia Voll, 21. Voll has four half-centuries and is in the top three run-scorers in the Women’s Big Bash League and Women’s National Cricket League.

“We’ve chosen an experienced squad for these two upcoming tours with next year’s Ashes series and ICC Women’s World Cup very much the focus,” said Cricket Australia’s Head of Performance (Women’s Cricket) and National Selector Shawn Flegler.

Australia leads the ICC Women’s Championship with 28 points and plays all six ODIs. India is No.3, New Zealand No.6, and neither has qualified for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 in India.

Australia updated injured Sophie Molineux, Darcie Brown, and Tayla Vlaeminck. Vlaeminck has sustained a shoulder injury since the Dubai ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, while Molineux and Brown were injured throughout the WBBL.

Kate Beerworth, Australian Women’s Team Physiotherapist, said Sophie returned to play after knee soreness and will be examined all summer. “Darcie is back in training after a hip muscle strain and on track for both series.”

Both players can play for Belgium until Vlaeminck heals. Tayla will miss 2024/25 after right shoulder stabilization surgery last week.
