Let’s take a look at how much they bank.

PROTEAS TOP-EARNERS AND HOW MUCH THEY EARN

Aidan Markram, Temba Bavuma, David Muller and Kagiso Rabada are among the highest-paid Proteas players at the moment.

According to Cricbites, these players – among others – will all earn around $350 000 a season.

“The highest-paid players include Kagiso Rabada, Aiden Markram, David Miller and Temba Bavuma. Each earns around $350 000+ per year from the CSA, not even taking into account franchise and endorsement income,” the publication reported.

This equates to around R5.7 million a season for Proteas captains Markram (T20 captain) and Bavuma (Test and ODI captain), power-hitter, David Muller and world-class bowler, Rabada.

As mentioned, this is just their base salary from the CSA (Cricket South Africa) and does not include any match-day bonuses, incentives or advertising deals.

MEGA-MONEY MADE AT T20 WORLD CUP

Meanwhile, as reported by The South African, the Proteas have banked R3.5 million to date from their seven successive victories at the T20 World Cup.

They earned R500 000 per match by way of bonuses per win.

This included victories against Canada, Afghanistan, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates in the group stages.

Additionally, they went three from three in the Super Eights, beating co-hosts India, the West Indies and neighbours Zimbabwe.

However, that is just the beginning.

The Proteas are set to several earn millions for qualifying for the T20 World Cup semi-finals.

Furthermore, should they qualify for the T20 World Cup final, South Africa stands in line to win even more.

Here’s how much the Proteas will earn if they make the final – and if they go on to lift the trophy.
