Bafana star to move abroad despite Kaizer Chiefs transfer dream!

Kaizer Chiefs look set to miss out one yet another Bafana Bafana star target if the latest news are accurate.

Chiefs are thought to be hard at work trying to bolster their squad for the upcoming new campaign.

So far, all of their signings have been in defensive areas, with the likes of Bongani Sam and Rushwin Dortley. Sam joins from arch rivals Orlando Pirates after spending the last two seasons  with the other Soweto giants Moroka Swallows. Dortley joins from Cape Town Spurs and the duo are both expected to improve the left side of the Chiefs defence. The third new player signed by Chiefs is goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari of TS Galaxy. He will be competing with the likes of Bruce Bvuma and Brandon Petersen for the number one jersey next season.

Chiefs looking for attacking reinforcements

Chiefs are yet to sign any players in attacking areas of the pitch so far this window. They have been no short of targets in that department, however. They have had a few Bafana Bafana players earmarked as well. The likes of Iqraam Rayners, Lebo Mothiba, Percy Tau, Oswin Appollis and Elias Mokwana have been mentioned. This comes as no surprise seeing that the club have not fared well in front of goal in the past couple of seasons.

Mokwana has reportedly been the subject of a R12 million bid from Chiefs, with Sekhukhune United holding out for R15m. On the other side of that, Babina Noko have reportedly received a lucrative offer from Esperance for the player. It was initially reported that they had agreed a deal with the Tunisians. An update claimed that there was no agreement and the player preferred a move to his boyhood club, Amakhosi.

Now according to KickOff.com Mokwana might have to accept that his future may be at Esperance. This comes after they improved their offer to Sekhukhune, while Chiefs haven’t as yet.

Esperance to beat them to Mokwana?

“The clubs are finnding each other (Sekhukhune and Esperance). The negotiations are going well. The Tunis club has put in a better offer than Kaizer Chiefs. It looks promising and the player (Mokwana) might move to Tunisia next season,” said a source to the publication.

It now remains to be seen if Chiefs will return to Sekhukhune with an improved offer. Amakhosi fans, how much should your club offer for Mokwana? Leave the figures in the comments section below.
