BREAKING NEWS: Kaizer Chiefs announce another exit

Kaizer Chiefs have struck again with another star axed ahead of the upcoming season which promises to be filled with major changes.

BREAKING NEWS: Kaizer Chiefs announce another exit

Kaizer Chiefs have announced the release of utility defender Edmilson Dove when his contract expires on 30 June.

Dove has been with Chiefs for three years following his return from Mozambique after he left Cape Town City.

However, he suffered a long-term injury which ruled him out of action for half the season last year.

Dove returned stronger at the start of 2025 to bring about stability in that leaky Chiefs defence but it appears his efforts were not enough.

The 30-year-old made a total of 13 appearances across all competitions for Amakhosi since the start of 2025.

Overall, though, Dove will leave Chiefs having featured 56 times with two goals to his name during his stint.

The Mozambique international follows the likes of Sabelo Radebe, Ranga Chivaviro and Njabulo Blom out the exit door.

More players are expected to leave Chiefs, especially Fiacre Ntwari, who had very little impact in his first season with the club.
