Cardoso loves Sundowns Diski youngster but…
Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso is a fan of the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) skipper Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi.

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi has impressed Miguel Cardoso’s technical team but has to wait longer for first-team opportunities.

This should not be a surprise, the 20-year-old Nkosi was the DDC Player of the Season in 2024. Unfortunately for ‘Scara’ he is yet to play for the Sundowns senior team this term. “I’ll speak about Ntando because he deserves it, he’s an honest, humble, and quality player,” Cardoso said via FARPost.
“If I can show you the message regarding his performance in a friendly match that was played at Chloorkop when we were away to play Esperance, you will have an answer to that question [about Nkosi’s progress].
“My assistant coach [Pedro Azevedo], who was with the remaining squad, told me that we have to give this boy a chance, but it’s important to understand that this boy has two international players in his position, Teboho Mokoena and Bathusi Aubaas.
“So it’s not easy for him. I wish we could finish the league in a way that he can get a chance to prove himself in front of everyone because he has the level to play in the PSL” the Sundowns mentor concluded.
