Carte Blanche coming up: Death in the Inner City

The Sunday, 18 January episode of Carte Blanche investigates the killing of media personality Warrick Stock, widely known as DJ Warras.

Stock was shot dead in broad daylight in Johannesburg’s CBD last month, raising serious questions about accountability and the reach of organised crime in South Africa’s economic hub.

Stock had been actively involved in efforts to address crime in the inner city and was helping to develop a blueprint to tackle Johannesburg’s hijacked building crisis.

Instead of seeing his vision realised, he became a victim of the very criminal networks he sought to confront.
