On Wednesday, right-arm bowler Hasan Ali of Pakistan threw his weight behind the players chosen for the national team for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy, set to run from February 19 to March 9. Hasan answered the continuous criticism on Pakistan’s team for the mega event while speaking with the media here, stressing the need of supporting the chosen players.
“This is, in my view, the Champions Trophy squad most fit. Hasan remarked, “We should support the athletes; there should not be any ifs and buts.”
The Player of the Tournament from last edition in 2017, the right-arm bowler also remembered Pakistan’s title-winning performance and said he could never forget the memories.
“The memories of the 2017 Champions Trophy are still fresh; it was a great achievement for all of us young players; we cannot ever forget the moment of winning the Champions Trophy,” Hasan Ali said.
“It’s a positive change that Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy,” the pacer remarked.
“For the younger talent, having the event here was absolutely crucial. I want the Pakistan squad performs well in the Champions Trophy.
Along with India, New Zealand, and Australia, the thirty-year-old also projected the four semi-finalists of the much awaited, choosing hosts and defending champions Pakistan.
