ITUMELENG KHUNE RETURNS TO THE KAIZER CHIEFS GOAL

It was 28 August in Stellenbosch at the Danie Craven Stadium when coach Arthur Zwane surprised us all.

Khune, who was understood to be a long way from full fitness, was suddenly named in the starting line for Chiefs against Stellies.

The 35-year-old from Ventersdorp, first nicknamed ‘Spider Kid’ before he was later aptly called ‘Mzansi’s number 1’ superstar delivered a dream return.

Khune save two penalty kicks that sent the Glamour Boys to the semi-finals.

He has not looked back ever since.
