BIMENYIMANA MAKES KAIZER CHIEFS DEBUT

As most of us witnessed last Saturday in Johannesburg, Kiyenge’s compatriot Bimenyimana marked his Amakhosi debut against AmaZulu.

According to Kitenge, there is a lot to expect from the Burundian but his quality will not shine instantly.

“The boy will definitely help Chiefs become a better team,” Kitenge said via KickOff.

“The reality is that the boy has been brought in at a time when the club is going through some challenges, so he is not joining a winning team,” the former Dynamos, Maritzburg United, and Thanda Royal Zulu keeper added.

“This then means his integration will not be as easy as that of players joining a winning team like Sundowns.

“Chiefs have not won trophies for years, so the level of pressure and frustration is different, and they have a new coach at the helm who is still trying to find his way in that space.

“So, I kindly beg the fans to be patient with Caleb because he won’t start firing right away but will come good with more minutes.

“The boy will help Chiefs in the air plus they can play off him depending on the strategy that they use.

“In his first game, he was nervous but once he settles in then he will help the team.

“He knows the expectations and understands the pressure that comes with being at Chiefs.

WAIT THREE TO FOUR GAMES BEFORE JUDGEMENT

“I think he needs to be given about three of four games to adjust and then we can start talking after that,” the Burundian continued.

“Along the way he needs to be given a start.

“They need to be patient in giving him his chance.

“This is the first time for the boy to play in South Africa, so I kindly ask that he be given time,” Kitenge concluded.
