So how did KG and Amakhosi come to be? The nippy winger was brought in from Swallows FC by Gavin Hunt. The former Bidvest Wits coach had also been the one to sign Sekgota from Vitória Setúbal, Portugal.

The former Polokwane United winger was somewhat frustrating last season before emerging as a surprise first-choice winger under Zwane this season.

According to Zwane, the Chiefs star does himself a great favour with his attitude.

“Why is he improving, he’s coachable, he’s one player that wants to learn new things, and ask the coach ‘I’m doing the right things or not?’

“These are the type of players that you just have to feed information slowly because if you overload them with information, then he might end up being confused. But as you can see in his game he’s improving every game and he’s one of our key players now,” Zwane concluded.

Meanwhile, the Seshego-born player, who is still 25, is expected to start for Chiefs at FNB Stadium against Chippa United on Saturday at 17:30.
