Emergency services responded on Wednesday to reports of a light aircraft crash near Nottingham Road, in the Howick area of KwaZulu-Natal.

According to Midlands EMS spokesperson Roland Robertson, crews were dispatched amid heavy mist and poor visibility.

Rescue teams are currently on site, attempting to locate the wreckage and assess the situation.

‘On scene’

“Midlands EMS crews are currently on scene on the Nottingham Road area following reports of a light aircraft crash. Rescue teams … are trying to locate the aircraft,” Robertson said.
