Thanks to their 2-1 win over Golden Arrows, defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns remained top of the log with 16 points after eight matches.

Orlando Pirates are in second place, six points – and 12 places – ahead of Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs who drew 1-1 with Marumo Gallants in Sunday’s only match.
