Gavin Hunt’s SuperSport United moved to the summit after a 2-0 away win over Stellenbosch FC on Tuesday.
Matsatsantsa’s goals came via midfielder Jamie Webber (35th minute) and striker Bradley Grobler (67th minute).
After 11 matches SuperSport United have 20 points thanks to six wins, two draws and three defeats.
They are a single point ahead of defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns who do have two matches in hand.

In other matches played on Tuesday, Orlando Pirates ended a barren run of results with an impressive victory over Golden Arrows.
The Buccaneers won 2-0 and moved up to fourth place in the standings.
Monnapule Saleng scored both goals for the Soweto giants (sixth and 24th minutes).

Orlando Pirates will next be in action in the MTN8 semi-final second leg away from home against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday, 22 October.
