Babar Azam and co. were knocked out for 160 chasing 184. England has won eight of 11 T20Is against Pakistan. Pakistan lost after left-handed hitter Fakhar Zaman scored 45 runs off 21 balls with three fours and five sixes. Captain Babar Azam was the second-highest run-scorer with 32 from 26 balls.

Iftikhar Ahmed (23 off 17) and Imad Wasim (22 off 13) scored important runs down the order, but Pakistan lost. England’s Reece Topley took three wickets. Jofra Archer and Moeen Ali got two each, while Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid, and Liam Livingstone got one.

Jos Buttler struck 84 runs on 51 balls with eight fours and three sixes in a captain’s knock. He became the ninth T20I player to reach 3,000 runs. Imad Wasim removed Phil Salt in the fourth over to give Pakistan a wonderful start, but Buttler and Will Jacks put England back in the game with a 71-run partnership.

The hosts were on track to score a huge total until Pakistani bowlers like Haris Rauf, Imad, and Shaheen took over. Jacks hit 37 off 23 with six boundaries and Bairstow 21. Harry Brook, Moeen Ali, and Liam Livingstone scored less than 10 points.

England finished at 183/7 in the allotted overs, as Jofra Archer scored 12 runs in the last over. For Pakistan, Shaheen took three wickets, Imad and Rauf two, and Shadab Khan and Mohammad Amir both went wicketless.
