DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TOKOLOSHE AND UKUTHWEBULA
Speaking to DJ Sbu, Gogo Skhotheni explained some misconceptions about African Spirituality and black magic, including the difference between tokoloshe and ukuthwebula — TimesLIVE reports.
According to Gogo Skhotheni, the difference is in how a person dies.
“When someone dies in your family you’re supposed to check them. Check their tongue first to see if it’s still there and not cut,” the reality TV star said.
She explained that a lot of sangomas are working with people who work at the mortuary.
“When you call a sangoma to work on a corpse you have to be there, because we’re going to ask you to bring the tongue to us.
“You go to someone’s grave, umthwebule umvuse … you go wake the person up to work for you. Tokoloshe comes from us killing you first. This one [ukuthwebula], you’ve died all by yourself first, but I wake you u,” Gogo Skhotheni added.

GOGO SKHOTHENI EXPLAINS UKUTHWALA
When DJ Sbu asked her about her response to clients who ask her to help them harm others through spells, Gogo Skhotheni said that she gives her clients what they want but first educated them about the consequences and implications.
She added that a lot of people who ask for her services do not want success but to harm someone else.
“Just like ukuthwala. Some people do not care. You tell them that their kids will die [as a result of ukuthwala] and they tell you they don’t care, ‘me I want money,'” Gogo Skhotheni said.
IDLISO (LOVE POTION)
The sangoma, who appears on Moja Love’s Dlozi Lam, caused an uproar on social media when she revealed she was marrying a second husband after her ancestors instructed her to do so.
In an interview with TshisaLIVE, Gogo Skhotheni revealed she had done an idliso ritual to make sure the love of both her husbands remains strong.
Gogo Skhotheni told DJ Sbu that she supports doing an idliso ritual on your partner because it helps strengthen the love your partner already has for you.
