‘Gomora’ actor Ntobeko Sishi: ‘My mom died when I was six’
'Gomora' actor Ntobeko Sishi, who plays Ntokozo Dlamini in the telenovela discusses losing his mother and his music career.
The Gomora actor Ntobeko Sishi, who plays the character of Gladys Dlamini’s son Ntokozo Dlamini discussed losing his mother in an interview with Kaya 959’s Breakfast team Dineo Ranaka and Sol Phenduka.

NTOBEKO SISHI: ‘I LOST MY MOM WHEN I WAS SIX’
The talented actor Ntobeko Sishi, who is popular for playing Ntokozo Dlamini in Mzansi Magic’s telenovela Gomora also spoke about his childhood and his mother’s passing when he was six years old.
“My mom passed away when I was six and after that, I had this very bad relationship with my father, and things kind of fell apart.”
The musician-actor says he was taken in by his aunt and uncle, who did everything they could to provide a good life for him.
“My aunt and my uncle did everything that they could so I can be who I am today.
“There was a time when I didn’t know if I would be in school because I didn’t have a report card or a birth certificate. They fought for me, they really did. I ended up at the best University on this continent.”
Briefly reported that Sishi penned a heartfelt message to his late father on social media in September 2020.
“Every day I prayed for our reconciliation, but not like this. Thanks for listening to me before your departure. Even though sickness didn’t let you speak, I heard you. Forgive and love yourself timer, because I do. RIP Nzimase, tell Ma how much I miss her.”

HIS MUSIC CAREER AND ROLE IN ‘GOMORA’
The Gomora actor has been killing his role as a criminal son of Melusi (played by Zolisa Xaluva) and Gladys (Thembi Seete) from season one to the present.
He failed his matric and is struggling to adjust to his mother’s new boyfriend Principal Cele after his father got sentenced to prison for murder in season two.
The star also reveals in his interview that one of his other passions is music:
“A lot of the stuff I write about is stuff that I have been through. Breakups, being in love, falling out of love. I dealt with some mental health stuff when I was younger. I’m honest about some of the feelings I’ve felt in my loneliness.”
