New Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi is expected to create something special. Find out why from Fadlu Davids.

Great news for Kaizer Chiefs fans

Attack and goals. These are the basic descriptions of Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi, according to his former competitor Fadlu Davids.

KAIZER CHIEFS WILL BE VERY ATTACKING

South African coach Davids was the assistant at Raja Casablanca last season. It was where his team won the Botola Pro 1 on the final day of the season and at the expense of Nabi’s AS FAR.

According to Davids, Kaizer Chiefs have hired a very attacking coach.

“I think I’ve been misquoted a lot of the times, ” Davids told iDiski Times.

“I think people misunderstood where I said he is a direct coach. I’m talking about how he was the most attacking [team], he scored the most goals in Morocco. He was the coach that was always on top of us, it was so difficult to always play against him.

“It’s exciting times for Kaizer Chiefs, I think he will do extremely well there. Tactically it was never an easy game. There was always something he came up with against us to expose our weaknesses and he’s an attacking coach, that will move forward at any moment, that will attack.

“He will play a brand of football the Kaizer Chiefs fans will enjoy and I wish him all the best as well. It’s been a very difficult season in the end for him [in Morocco] but a fantastic season overall for FAR Rabat what they had last season, ” Davids concluded.

MOLEFI NTSEKI ON AMAKHOSI SUPPORTERS AND MANAGEMENT

Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki has regarded Amakhosi supporters with understanding and wisdom. Here he is talking about the abuse he faced and what the club should expect from new coach Nasreddine Nabi.

As reported in October 2023, the club decided to part ways with Ntseki after just three wins from 13 games in charge, including four draws and six defeats. Ntseki, who was initially appointed as the Kaizer Chiefs Head of Youth, was given the first team coaching job after Amakhosi’s bosses declined to hire Nasreddine Nabi with his own technical team.

“I don’t think the supporters were very impatient with me,” Ntseki said on Metro FM, as cited by FARPost.

What happened [missile throwing] was not happening for the first time. He had been asked about his relationship with Chiefs supporters.

“So I think something has to make a U-turn in terms of how things are happening at the club. If I’m saying the supporters were impatient with me, what about other coaches? Before I was appointed, the expectation towards the end of the season was for Chiefs to have a new coach. As the technical committee, we were looking for that coach [Nasreddine Nabi], and things did not work out for us.

“The club decided to appoint me. I think what needed to happen at that time was for the supporters to understand why the expected coach could not come to the club at that time. So when you look at my appointment from the word go, the supporters were not happy. Already there was a bit of frustration. And because of what they experienced over the years, they wanted someone they believe will bring success.

“What they want is players and the coach to win them trophies and the league. [That] is not going to happen overnight,” the former Kaizer Chiefs coach and Technical Director concluded.
