Haiti expands state of emergency over gang violence to whole country
Haiti’s state of emergency has been expanded to cover the entire territory due to the violent gangs that have already taken over much of the capital, Port-au-Prince, and are expanding into nearby regions. The violence has displaced almost 580,000 Haitians, and led to severe food shortages.
