The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry broke his silence on rumours of a divorce from his wife, Meghan Markle during the New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit in New York City on Wednesday 4 December.

PRINCE HARRY BREAKS SILENCE ON DIVORCE RUMOURS

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have faced rumours of divorce for some time now. Most recently, the rumours began to swirl at the pair carried out individual work events and commitments leading many to speculate a “professional separation” for the pair.

However, Prince Harry has put those rumours to rest. Speaking to NYT columnist and DealBook founder Andrew Ross Sorkin, duringThe New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit in New York City, Prince Harry spoke about public interest in his life.

Prince Harry spoke about the rumours surrounding him and his wife moving and buying a home and rumours of a divorce. Prince Harry and Meghan tied the knot in 2018 and have two children together – Prince Archie (5) and Princess Lilibet (3).

In 2020, the pair quit their roles as senior working members of the royal family and moved to California to start a new life with their family

“Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?” said Harry, according to New York Post.

PRINCE HARRY: ‘IT’S HARD TO KEEP UP’

The Duke of Sussex, who recently visited South Africa, went on to say that the rumours are hard to keep up with but he chooses to ignore it.

“It’s hard to keep up with, but that’s why you just sort of ignore it. The people I feel most sorry about are the trolls. Their hopes are just built and built, and it’s like, ‘Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,’ and then it doesn’t happen. So I feel sorry for them. Genuinely, I do,” he continued.

He went on to reveal that he had “no doubt” his talk with Sorkin “will be spun or twisted somehow against me, and maybe you yourself will be trolled relentlessly.”
