An elderly lady stranded at Stellenbosch Police Station requires the public’s help to reunite her with her family.
MISSING ELDERLY LADY ‘HOUSED’ AT THE STATION
The Pink Ladies Organisation, an non-government organisation (NGO) established for the primary purpose of reuniting missing and endangered children and loved ones with their families and/or caregivers, has put out a notice following an urgent need from the station to help the elderly lady.

The Pink Ladies post read:
Sgt Mack of Saps Stellenbosch has asked us to enquire about this lady who says she is from Plumstead (Cape Town).
“If anyone knows who she is please contact us via WhatsApp on 072 214 7439 or Stellenbosch SAPS.”

It is unknown how long has this elderly lady been missing, but what we understand is that she is safe at Stellenbosch Police Station.
She is pictured sleeping on the steel chairs with her luggage – assumingly, she must’ve been travelling somewhere when she lost directions of her trip.
MISSING PERSON TO BE REPORTED IMMEDIATEDLY
With so many people going missing in South Africa daily, there is no waiting period to report such.

According to the South African Government, you do not need to wait for 24 hours. You can contact the Bureau for Missing Persons to report a missing person or go to your nearest police station and report that the person is missing as soon as you know they are missing.
The missing person is registered in the police database which can be accessed by all police stations in the country to be on the lookout for the missing person.
