‘History made’: Tweeps praise Makhadzi after one-woman show

Award-winning singer Makhadzi blew fans away at her first one-woman show in South Africa on Saturday 1 October. The MaGear hitmaker received high praise on social media from fans who attended the concert at Makhuvha Stadium in Tzaneen, Limpopo. Makhadzi performed to a sold-out crowd!

MAKHADZI’S ONE-WOMAN SHOW IN LIMPOPO

Makhadzi’s one-woman show was jam-packed with star-studded performances from the likes of Master KG, King Monada and amapiano stars Lady Du and Daliwonga. The sold-out event was hosted by Idols SA host Somizi Mhlongo. 

Makhadzi also added Dr Malinga to her one-woman show lineup after he spoke out about owing the South African Revenue Service (SARS) more than R2 million. 

Taking to Twitter, the 25-year-old singer shared that the stadium was packed as fans waited for her to take the stage. In a video clip shared by Twitter user @HlogoYaDitaba, the stadium sang all of Makhadzi’s songs word-for-word.

MZANSI PRAISES MAKHADZI’S SUCCESS 

Following the success of her one-woman show, Makhadzi’s fans took to Twitter to praise her. 

“I can’t wait for Makhadzi to fill up FNB stadium, we love you here in Soweto Queen,” wrote one tweep. 

“Makhadzi is whatever she thinks she is,” wrote another tweep. 

“A South African woman filling up a stadium??? We last saw it nga Brenda Fassie. History made.”

This year, Makhadzi has been on a roll with her single releases. The energetic singer has wowed Mzansi with singles like Pain Ya Jealous, Kulakwe featuring Master KG and MaGear featuring Mr Bown. 

Her latest single release, Tsoko Tsoko, was officially released on 22 September.
