Hollywoodbets Durban July: Latest odds – UPDATED

Race sponsors Hollywoodbets have updated their odds on next month’s edition of the Hollywoodbets Durban July.

The Grade 1 race which carries a prize fund of R5 million will be run at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Saturday, 6 July.

Dean Kannemeyer’s three-year-old colt Green With Envy is the current favourite at 3/1.

Michael Roberts’ star See It Again, who disappointed with a below-par run in the WSB Cape Town Met at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth in late January when finishing fourth in a field of 11, is next best at 4/1.

Future Swing for Justin Snaith is at 7/1, followed by Oriental Charm from the Brett Crawford yard at 8/1.

Two horses are available at 25/2, namely Royal Victory and Flag Man, while defending champion Winchester Mansion can be backed at 14/1.

After last weekend’s Hollywoodbets Grade 1 Gold Challenge, the Grade 3 Cup Trial, and the Grade 3 Jubilee Stakes, there are still 29 hopefuls still in the running for a place in race.

• Final supplementary entries close at 11:00 on Tuesday, 18 June
• Weights will be published on Tuesday, 18 June
• Final declarations close at 11:00 on Monday, 24 June

The all-important announcement of the final field and barrier draws will be on Tuesday, 25 June.

Only 20 horses will be carded – 18 + 2 reserves. The reserves will be scratched by 08:15 on Friday, 5 July.

Elimination will be at the sole and unfettered discretion of Gold Circle.
