Homemade ratatouille: Classic French cuisine, made easy

You’ve seen the movie and thought about trying ratatouille at least once in your life. However, it’s not actually a fancy dish and so, anybody can cook their own homemade ratatouille. It’s a classic Southern France dish that’s actually from farms which had fresh produce and includes eggplant, peppers, tomato and garlic as its main ingredients. The presentation turns it into a fancy dish if you want it to.

Homemade ratatouille tips

As with most cooking, try and have your ingredients all chopped and ready before actually cooking, also known as mis on plas. The tomatoe sadd some great colour but you can use different coloured peppers as well. The recipe is quite easy to prepare and it’s all in the presentation when you serve it as a starter or as a side. Every vegetable gets a chance to shine in this classic dish.
