Orlando Pirates have joined the race to sign Kaizer Chiefs target Oswin Appollis. Polokwane City have responded to the rumours.
Bafana Bafana star Oswin Appollis have been heavily linked to Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
The 23-year-old talented winger has been phenomenal for his team Polokwane City in the past two years making him one of the best players in the Premier Soccer League (PSL). Before the start of the current season, Oswin Appollis was reportedly keen to join Kaizer Chiefs but the move never materialised.
In fact, the young winger was in demand in North Africa with the likes of ES Tunis and MC Alger after his services. This past week, Amakhosi’s rivals Orlando Pirates have emerged as favourites to not only sign Appollis but also another Rise and Shine star Thabang Matuludi.
“Those are just rumours, there is no truth about the transfer of Appollis and Matuludi going to Orlando Pirates,” Polokwane’s chief operations officer Tincy Tema told GOAL.
Kaizer Chiefs have not made an offer to Oswin Appollis
“We haven’t received any offer or a proposal from both Kaizer Chiefs and Pirates so far. So there is no deal with Pirates, both players are not going anywhere,” Tema said.
Appollis have made it clear that he wants to leave City but will he join Kaizer Chiefs or Orlando Pirates? a move to Europe has always been the 23-year-old’s dream but Rise and Shine have not received offers yet from European clubs.
