Springbok speedster Sbu Nkosi was reportedly sent home early from the Bulls’ overseas United Rugby Championship (URC) tour for breaking team protocols.

According to Sunday newspaper Rapport, Nkosi was told by director of rugby Jake White to return to Mzansi after the 16-Test capped wing missed a team meeting in Ireland.

Sbu Nkosi was reportedly late in rejoining the team, having had permission to visit a friend the day before.

The 26-year-old was not selected for the Bulls’ 44-22 win over Benetton in the United Rugby Championship on Friday with White providing no explanation for his omission when announcing the matchday 23.

It is understood Nkosi, who joined the Bulls from the Sharks ahead of the 2022/23 season, has since apologised for his actions.

Nkosi certainly knows his way to the tryline and has scored nine tries in his 16 Tests for the Springboks.
