Judgment reserved in Gallants vs Polokwane Municipality case

At the end start of the season, Gallants entered into an agreement with the Polokwane Municipality to play ALL their home games at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Now, the Municipality was taken by surprise when the match initially pencilled for 7 September was moved to the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace without their knowledge.
And as their attempts to force Gallants to play Chiefs at Peter Mokaba Stadium proved futile, they then approached the High Court to try and stop the game.

FIRST COURT MEETING BETWEEN GALLANTS AND POLOKWANE MUNICIPALITY
The parties involved – Gallants and Polokwane Municipality – first met at the Polokwane High Court on Wednesday afternoon.

However, the seating was brief as the case was postponed to Thursday, 8 September at 14:00 to allow Gallants to file their papers.
And the two parties faced off at Polokwane High Court on Thursday after Gallants had filed their papers, and the judgment was reserved in the matter.

It is reported that the ruling will be handed down on Friday, 9 September at 9:00, and that will be 48 hours before the match between Gallants and Chiefs.
