Amakhosi needed three penalties to beat Stellenbosch FC 3-1 in a league match which was played at DHL Stadium on the day.
Burundi striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana converted all three of them to hand Chiefs maximum points and move up to fourth on the log standings.

In doing so, Caleb became the first ever player to score a hat-trick of penalties in a single league match in the history of the PSL.
But for Chiefs, it meant more as they have now been awarded seven penalties in just 10 league games – no any other team has received more penalties this season.

Prior to this game against Stellenbosch, Chiefs had four penalties awarded to them, and they were also leading the other 15 PSL teams in that regard.
HOW MANY PENALTIES HAVE KAIZER CHIEFS SCORED AND MISSED?
The first penalty awarded to Chiefs was against Mamelodi Sundowns in that 4-0 drubbing, and Khama Billiat was denied by Ronwen Williams.

Chiefs were awarded their second penalty of the season when they faced Richards Bay FC in Durban, and Dillan Solomons easily coverted.
Solomons would miss the next time Chiefs were awarded a penalty, and this was against AmaZulu, and it was the club’s third spot-kick.

Chiefs would then be awarded their fourth penalty of the season in the 2-1 win over SuperSport United, and it was scored by Caleb.
The fifth, sixth and seventh were against Stellenbosch, as previously mentioned, Caleb stole the show as he sent Sage Stephens the wrong in all of them.
