Kaizer Chiefs fans unhappy with their Carling KO Cup opponents
Many Kaizer Chiefs fans were not happy to draw Gavin Hunt's team in the Carling Knockout Cup on Tuesday afternoon.
The Carling Knockout Cup draw took place on Tuesday evening and the pick of the draw sees Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United playing each other but some fans are unhappy.
Last season, Stellenbosch FC won the inaugural edition after beating TS Galaxy on penalties at the Moses Mabhida Stadium to lift their first-ever trophy.
Kaizer Chiefs fans not happy to play Matsatsantsa in the Carling KO
Amakhosi and Matsatsantsa will first face off on 26 October in a Betway Premiership clash at the Peter Mokaba Stadium. Their Carling Knockout Cup match could be played early November meaning the two teams could play each other in a space of a week or two.
Kaizer Chiefs fans are hoping the Carling Cup could provide a great opportunity for their team to end their trophy drought. When the draw was made, many fans were hoping to get a kind draw but the luck of the draw instead went to their rivals Orlando Pirates. The Buccaneers host new boys Magesi FC at the Orlando Stadium in the round of 16.
