In the 2021-22 campaign, Sekgota appeared mainly as an impact player who could cause havoc in opposition defences. Now, he’s a reliable starter and has earned a Bafana Bafana call-up.

Kaizer Chiefs boss heaps praise on Sekgota
Zwane told reporters after Chiefs ended their three-match winless streak against SuperSport on Saturday:
“Sekgota is obviously, ever since the beginning of the season, one of the best players to have and what I’m glad about is that he is now playing 90 minutes. When you look at him in previous seasons, he was more like an impact player.”
“Now we can play 90 minutes and still show character and take the game to the opposition because he is more direct.
“You need those kinds of players to put the opposition under pressure.”
