Makazole Mapimpi’s partner – rumoured wife Sasha de Sousa – has posted cryptic comments on her Instagram account in the aftermath of allegations about the Springbok.
The popular player has been trending on social media after reality TV star Kanya Mtsaka allegedly accused him of pursuing an affair with her.
He has yet to address the speculation publicly.
MAPIMPI’S ‘WIFE’ POSTS CRYPTIC MESSAGE ON IG
On Monday, 17 November, gossip bloggers Maphepha Ndaba published screenshots and messages sent to them by Kanya Mtsaka, who accused Makazole Mapimpi of romantically pursuing her.
The woman – of the Showmax show Born Into Fame – claimed that the Springbok had sent her money via eWallet and had messaged her about meeting in person.
The bloggers later retracted their story, accusing the reality TV star of “spreading false claims that were defamatory”. They also disputed claims that Mapimpi was married.
On her Instagram account, Sasha de Sousa shared various cryptic posts, which the public interpreted as responses to the rumours about Mapimpi.
In one IG Story, Sasha posted: “Life goes on, y’all.”
In another, she posted a thirst-trap video of “how my December is going to go”. A third, she shared a selfie from her day at work. “Show up regardless,” she captioned the post.
WHO IS THE SPRINGBOK WAG?
In September last year, Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus set tongues wagging when he revealed the reason behind Makazole Mapimpi’s absence from recent games.
He shared, “Mapimpi’s wife is giving birth. We don’t want to keep him away from that”.
The woman linked to the Bok confirmed news of her pregnancy; however, both she and the player have shied away from making their relationship public.
Sasha is a well-known content creator from Eswatini who uses the Instagram handle @swazisoil.
According to her LinkedIn account, Sasha is the General Manager of Operations for an insurance company.
Although she has never addressed being a Springbok WAG, Sasha follows her “husband” on IG and often likes his posts.
