Two of the world’s biggest talents in separate areas may be teaming up to beat the top YouTuber in a shocking change of events. Jimmy Donaldson, alias MrBeast, said he may join Lionel Messi to battle Cristiano Ronaldo’s meteoric rise on the site. The prospect of an unlikely matchup between social media and soccer heavyweights shocks the internet.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s football achievements have made him an international legend. However, his YouTube channel, UR Cristiano, launched on August 21, 2024, spreading his internet fame. Ronaldo shattered records by gaining over 10 million subscribers in 17 hours after launching his channel. Ronaldo garnered over 40 million views in 24 hours by posting 19 videos back-to-back.

His channel has kept up with this rapid increase. His channel has approximately 64 million subscribers. An unprecedented number in such a short time. In over a decade, MrBeast has gained 318 million subscribers. Ronaldo has been shattering records at an unprecedented rate, so MrBeast should worry. The 26-year-old American is YouTube’s most subscribed creator.

On Logan Paul’s podcast, MrBeast praised Ronaldo’s accomplishments. Additionally, the Portuguese superstar is one reason he fears his record being broken. MrBeast said, “I broke the world record for most subs in a month,” by getting 20 million subscribers in 30 days. “And two months later, Ronaldo comes on and three X’s it” .

Ronaldo’s initial rise could push him above MrBeast’s YouTube top spot. This 26-year-old YouTuber won’t relinquish his title. He stated in an interview, “I’m not going down without a fight.” He even joked about working with Ronaldo’s archrival Lionel Messi to boost his channel’s subscribers. “If I’ve got to do a Messi collab, I’ll do it.”
