On Sunday, during the Asia Cup 2022 Super Four stage, wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan of Pakistan overtook India’s cricketer Virat Kohli in a T20 international record. The top batter racked up 71 runs off 51 balls and helped the squad score 1,855 runs in 48 innings while playing the Indians. Rizwan and Kohli scored 1,852 runs in 48 innings, but Rizwan passed Kohli as the second-highest scorer in that time frame.
Babar Azam, captain of the Pakistan cricket team, leads the way with 1,916 runs scored in his first 48 career innings. In their Super Four matchup, Pakistan beat India by five wickets.
