Any Kaizer Chiefs supporters keen on a new goalkeeper?

KAIZER CHIEFS TO SIGN CHIPPA UNITED GOALKEEPER?

Most of you will remember Amakhosi’s widely reported interest in signing Nwabali from Chippa United before and after Afcon 2024. The 28-year-old surprisingly returned to Chippa United after an eye-catching tournament in Ivory Coast.

Kaizer Chiefs ended up signing Fiacre Ntwari from TS Galaxy. Unfortunately for the Burundian, his career in black and gold has been a challenge, similarly to Brandon Petersen.

According to Soccer Laduma, Amakhosi are back in for Nwabali.

“Chiefs are interested in Nwabali again. Expect the club to push hard in pursuit of his signature this time around,” a source told the outlet.

“The team’s defensive record is worrying for the technical team and management, and they will be using in the next few weeks to work on a possible solution.”

SIX PLAYERS INJURED

According to Kaizer Chiefs’ injury news update, coach Nasreddine Nabi is currently without six players:

  • Edson Castillo
  • Nkosingiphile Ngcobo
  • Gaston Sirino
  • Dillan Solomons
  • Bradley Cross
  • Brandon Petersen.

Kaizer Chiefs officially communicated the news last Saturday:

“Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi will be without six influential players for their upcoming Betway Premiership clash against TS Galaxy on Monday. The injured players include midfielders Edson Castillo, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Gaston Sirino, defenders Dillan Solomons and Bradley Cross, as well as goalkeeper Brandon Petersen.

“The players sustained their injuries in various matches but are expected to return to action soon. Despite these injury setbacks, Amakhosi are focused on preparing for the encounter and confident of delivering a strong performance.

“Coach Nabi’s charges will be seeking to bounce back from their disappointing loss to Polokwane City last weekend. TS Galaxy were victorious in their last league match.”

Meanwhile, the likes of Bruce Bvuma, Fiacre Ntwari, Teboho Potsane, Happy Mishiane and Pule Mmodi are expected to get big opportunities to impress coach Nabi.
