NO OX: Springboks forced to make late change ahead of Argentina showdown
The Springboks have made a late change to Saturday’s starting XV to take on Los Pumas in their Rugby Championship clash at Kings Park.
Springbok prop Ox Nche has been ruled out of Saturday’s Rugby Championship fixture against Argentina due to a minor injury, prompting changes in the forward pack.
BIG NEWS: NO OX FOR BOKS
In Nche’s absence, Boan Venter has been promoted from the bench to the starting XV. He will now pack down in the front row alongside veteran hooker Malcolm Marx, a two-time Rugby World Cup winner, and the formidable Thomas du Toit.
Jan-Hendrik Wessels steps onto the bench to provide prop cover, while Marco van Staden has been named as the reserve hooker. Both players offer valuable versatility, Wessels can slot in at either prop or hooker, and van Staden, who showcased his adaptability during the 2023 Rugby World Cup, is equally comfortable at flanker and hooker.
