With all eyes on the Royal Family – and the new monarch; King Charles – many are looking to make a quick buck.

And for one New Zealand butcher, it’s all about cashing in on what the public has hailed the king’s “sausage fingers”.

The royal’s hands have been a trending topic online for years, with even medical experts weighing in on the possible causes of his swollen, red fingers.

SAUSAGE FINGERS ANYONE?

The cheeky New Zealand butcher – called Avon Butchery – first made a gag at King Charles by promoting a new range via their social media.

In the picture, Charles’s hands have been superimposed with a picture of raw sausages.

Following the hype, the butcher went on to promote a “limited edition” range of bangers called the “King Charles Sausage Fingers”.

And the dish proved to be a hit with customers, with the butcher warning there was “limited stock” available.

According to medical doctors, King Charles’s inflamed fingers are likely due to arthritis, old age, or water retention.

TWEEPS AMUSED BY KING CHARLES’S HANDS

King Charles’s fingers have long been a topic of interest amongst the British public. In fact, “Prince Charles sausage fingers” have remained in the Top 20 Google searches in 2021, according to Cornwall Live.

Charles himself has joked about them during a trip to India in 2021.

And according to The Mirror, even the Queen herself observed something “interesting” about his firstborn’s fingers.

In a letter written to her music teacher shortly after his birth in 1948, Queen Elizabeth wrote: “The baby is very sweet and we are enormously proud of him. He has an interesting pair of hands for a baby.

“They are rather large, but with fine long fingers quite unlike mine and certainly unlike his father’s. It will be interesting to see what they become
