Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou remains defiant after back-to-back defeats in the Nedbank Cup and Betway Premiership.

Orlando Pirates coach Ouaddou: “We have 13 finals”

Orlando Pirates’ Abdeslam Oauddou is insisting the league title is still within reach with 13 games left.

The Buccaneers endured a tough week, suffering consecutive losses in the Nedbank Cup, a heartbreaking exit to Casric Stars and a defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns, which reduced the log lead to three points.

EYES ON THE LEAUGE PRIZE

As a reaction, coach Ouaddou is determined to keep the team focused on the Betway Premiership.

“I will tell them that we still have 13 finals upcoming and nothing is lost about the league title,” Ouaddou told the media after the Casric shock.

“And we will find some resources like that, I won’t hide, it’s been a tough week,” the Moroccan added.

The Buccaneers, who have already won the MTN8 and Carling Knockout this season, now turn their attention solely to the league.

Despite the disappointments in knockout competitions, Ouaddou insists morale remains high, and he is already looking ahead to the remaining fixtures.

With 13 matches left on the road to the Betway Premiership title, the Orlando Pirates coach believes there is still plenty of football to play, and the team has every chance to recover and mount a strong league challenge.
