Orlando Pirates: Could this be Mofekeng’s last season in the Betway Premiership?
Orlando Pirates' Relebohile Mofokeng attracts attention from several clubs, parents confirm. Could this be his last dance in the league?

Orlando Pirates star Relebohile Mofokeng is making headlines against the backdrop of his star performance against Lesotho during Bafana Bafana’s Group C World Cup Qualifier fixture at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
NO GUARANTEED START FOR MOFOKENG IN THE BAFANA SQUAD
The 20-year-old star broke the deadlock in the 60th minute before Jayden Adams sealed the win in his first start for Bafana Bafana.
The two-nil win saw Hugo Broos’ lads go two points clear of Benin, who are second in the log standings with eight points after five games.
Relebohile Mofokeng wowed many with his flair and command of the game, which earned him the Man of the Match award.
However, despite his moments of brilliance and consistency with the national team, Broos revealed that Mofokeng will not be guaranteed a starting role in Bafana’s set-up despite his star performance.
The remarks have undoubtedly sparked a debate among fans who think Mofokeng is now ready to be part of the first team.
The 20-year-old star has won big since his senior debut with Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.
He has had his best performances, which have since dubbed him one of the best ‘young talents’ in the Premier Soccer League, but Broos thinks otherwise.
Against his big wins with the club and the national team, Relebohile Mofokeng’s parents recently dropped a big bombshell concerning his future.

The 20-year-old star started his youth career with Transnet School of Excellence. Last year, he topped trends after his photos of him wearing a Mamelodi Sundowns jersey went viral.
However, The South African established that Relebohile Mofokeng played for a team that wore a Mamelodi Sundowns jersey.
He once played for Amandl/Vaal Juventus FC—before joining Orlando Pirates in 2022. A year later, he was promoted to the senior team after joining Orlando Pirates Youth Academy.
Since then, he has won big and become the club’s poster boy. In 2023, he hogged headlines after having trials with English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves).
