If you go down to the petrol pumps today, you’re in for a pleasant surprise!

The Department of Energy confirmed the latest fuel price update for September, showing a much-needed cut to both petrol and diesel prices in Mzansi.

Those changes took effect from midnight on Tuesday.

While prices were projected to come down by more, the final price cut saw a drop of R2.04 per litre for petrol, and between 46 and 56 cents per litre for diesel.

Date for next fuel price change confirmed

The next petrol price change – either up or down – will take place at midnight on Tuesday, 4 October.
