Richards Bay will continue to play in the DStv Premiership in the 2024/2025 season.
This comes after the KwaZulu-Natal side successful retained their top-flight status after ‘winning’ the three-team promotion-relegation battle on Wednesday.
The Natal Rich Boys beat Baroka FC 4-0 to finish top of the mini-log after four matches with eight points after two wins and two draws.
The University of Pretoria finished second on five points and Baroka FC were third – and last – on two points.
As a reminder, Cape Town Spurs finished bottom of the DStv Premiership log last season and were automatically relegated.
They will be replaced next season by Limpopo-based Magesi FC who won the National First Division (NFD).
Meanwhile, Richards Bay will live to fight another day …
