The Al Nassr talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo, reportedly wants his club to bring in Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne into the Saudi Pro League. Per various media reports, Ronaldo considers the Belgian the key to Al Nassr’s march past their close rivals Al Hilal.
De Bruyne had left his options wide open earlier this year when he announced that his contract with Manchester City would run out in 2025. The midfielder has been dogged by injuries in recent times and managed a mere 18 appearances in the last Premier League season.
Presently, he is recovering from an injury to the thigh he picked up in the Champions League game against AC Milan last month and should be back in competitive action by mid-October. The 33-year-old isn’t averse to selling his services in the Saudi Pro League, for which he reportedly would get paid up to a million dollars per week.
Belgium manager Domenico Tedesco revealed recently that De Bruyne has asked for some time off from national duties and hence will not feature in the team’s Nations League fixtures against Italy and France.
