Cricket Australia has announced an exciting Big Bash League (BBL) Season 14 schedule in anticipation of scintillating encounters. On December 15, the 44-game season will begin with continuous cricket every night, including six double headers. The updated schedule places the inaugural match between the Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Stars at Optus Stadium in Perth.

After Brisbane Test day two, this match will begin. The Men’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy Series will overlap with 14 BBL matches this season. This might see Australian Test players play again after the series ends on January 7, 2025. BBL general manager Alistair Dobson said: “This is a great calendar for fans, with action every night of the regular season and all the headline games they enjoy.

“We’re excited to welcome the Australian Test team back in January after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Series. “The addition of world-class players and an optimum competition duration last season resulted to amazing crowds and experiences off the pitch and cricket on it. We’re excited for BBL14’s growth.” Expect to see Sydney Smash – Sydney Thunder against Sydney Sixers at ENGIE Stadium.

Scorchers versus Brisbane Heat at Optus Stadium and Sixers vs Stars at Sydney Cricket Ground on Boxing Day. New Year’s Eve Blockbuster: Strikers vs Scorchers at Adelaide Oval. New Year’s Day doubleheader: Hurricanes against Sixers at Blundstone Arena and Heat vs Stars at Gabba.

The Melbourne Derby
On January 4 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and January 12 at Marvel Stadium, Renegades and Stars will play enthralling Melbourne Derbies. Four clubs will play matches away from their usual sites, providing variation to the season.
