Senegal: Urban cycling trend offers chance to boost green transport
As the COP29 takes place in Baku, many poorer countries are doing their best to keep emissions low while driving economic development. African countries have the highest proportion of travel by foot or cycling in the world but many people as they get richer switch to cars. In Senegal, a growing number of cyclists are bucking this trend, but they say more needs to be done to make the commute to and from work safer.
