SEVERE thunderstorms expected TODAY in several areas of SA
The Weather Services has issued Level 2 warnings for SEVERE thunderstorms in several parts of SA TODAY. These areas will be affected.
SEVERE thunderstorms are expected in several parts of the country for TODAY.
THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH EXPECTED ON MONDAY
According to VoxWeather, heavy downpours and flash flooding may result in difficult driving conditions, especially over dirt roads.

THESE AREAS WILL BE AFFECTED
Yellow Level 2 Warnings are issued for severe thunderstorms in these areas:
- Eastern Cape
- Western parts of the North West
- Eastern parts of the Northern Cape
- Free State
“If possible, stay indoors, away from metal objects. Do not seek shelter under trees or tall objects. Do not go fishing or play golf, as both the golf clubs and fishing rods are good conductors of electricity. Be aware that any combination of hail, strong winds, and/or heavy downpours can accompany the storms.”
