Eurosport suspended a commentator from their Paris Olympics programming on Sunday after he made a sexist joke during swimming. Bob Ballard commented on Australia’s swimmers after they won the 4x100m freestyle relay gold on Saturday. Social media viral clip: Ballard said: “Women finishing up. Women are like that—hanging out, applying makeup.” Lizzie Simmonds, Ballard’s co-commentator, called it “outrageous.” “Eurosport’s Bob Ballard made an inappropriate comment last night,” Eurosport claimed. “To that end, he has been removed from our commentary roster with immediate effect.” Ballard did not respond immediately.
