Six injured in KwaZulu-Natal collision after driver stops on road

A collision on the southbound R102 between the Canelands and Mountview intersections in KwaZulu-Natal injured six people on Monday 12 January.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) said a blue Renault Triber was travelling southbound when it crashed into a white Isuzu bakkie that had stopped on the yellow line.
The bakkie’s driver had allegedly pulled over to urinate.

The Renault driver told police he did not notice the bakkie was stationary before the collision.
The crash left six occupants of the Isuzu bakkie injured.
Emergency response
Emergency personnel treated the six injured at the scene before transporting them to hospital by ambulance for further medical care.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
