Kaizer Chiefs have blown hot and cold, does this mean Amakhosi need a couple more player additions? Arthur Zwane does not think so.

KAIZER CHIEFS RELEASE 13 AND SIGN NINE

As The South African website has been reporting since June, the Glamour Boys released a whole host of senior players in a total of 13 departures out of the Naturena gate.

As due replacements, Zwane has signed no less than nine new players, with Yusuf Maart and Ashley Du Preez standing out as the marquee signings.

According to the Soweto-born coach, the club has simply closed the chequebook. The focus is on creating combinations from the existing squad.

“We are working on forming combinations with the players we have now so talk of bringing in new players interferes with that,” Zwane said via Soccer Laduma.

The former winger added to remind us that the January transfer window is simply around the corner.

The next window is only a few months away so I think that will give us time to see where we need to beef up but in the meantime, we have enough cover in all positions,” Zwane concluded.
