The ANC is on course to drop below 50% of seats in parliament meaning that the ruling party would have to form a coalition to be reelected to form a new government. Around 100,000 Gazans may have crossed over into Egypt since Israel began its retaliatory bombardment of the Palestinian territory over Hamas's brutal crossborder attack last October.
